About the Invitational Symposium and National Leadership Award Event
The Invitational Symposium is an informative and provocative event where industry thought leaders address some of our nation's most challenging leadership issues in achieving performance excellence. Our guests include senior executives from leading U.S. healthcare systems and healthcare companies, health policy leaders, and senior faculty members.

The National Healthcare Leadership Award honors the healthcare leader whose commitment, values, and contributions embody the primary vision of NCHL to optimize the health of the public through leadership and organizational excellence. The Award dinner immediately follows the symposium.

About the Artist
Martin Rosol, a native of Czechoslovakia (now known as the Czech Republic) produces his luxurious works at his studio in Massachusetts. Influenced most by architectural studies, his sculptures have been called “works of elegant design and craftsmanship.” Made with several pieces of glass precisely cut from blocks of crystal, the glass is constructed in architectural forms after selected surfaces have been sand-blasted. The sculptures are multi-dimensional-some surfaces are clear, some opaque. The results have been called “monuments to light.”Rosol’s public collections can be found at the American Craft Museum in New York, the Kanazawa Museum in Japan, and the Moravian National Gallery in the Czech Republic.

About the Sculpture
The optical glass sculpture that will be given to the first recipient of the National Healthcare Leadership Award is noteworthy for its treatment of the solidity of glass and the elusive qualities of color and light. The round sculpture reflects the wholeness of healthcare, while at the same time giving way to the interplay between the multiple disciplines, viewpoints, and approaches that comprise the healthcare industry. Because crystal has no hidden surface, the integrity of each action shows. In healthcare, the integrity of each action is at the heart of what we do.
