NCHL Welcomes Jordan Richardson to its Board of Directors

May 11, 2023 – The National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL) is excited to announce the appointment of Jordan Richardson to its board of directors. This newly created board opportunity is part of NCHL’s intentional focus on broadening its perspective, by complementing the highly experienced and tenured board with another important generational perspective.

The novel approach to board membership is a demonstration of NCHL’s mission and core principles of developing future leaders, inclusive of board membership. This approach sets the context for the importance of early leadership development, role modeling, and succession planning, drawing from evolving best practices.

“We are thrilled to have Jordan Richardson join the NCHL board of directors,” said NCHL Board Chair, Jill Schwieters. “As an early careerist in healthcare, he brings a wealth of experience and fresh perspective that will be invaluable. We are confident that Jordan will help us understand the evolving expectations of the workforce while providing him with invaluable experience.”

Jordan Richardson is a highly qualified healthcare professional with a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Georgia Southern University. He currently serves as the Richard J. Umbdenstock Executive Fellow at the American Hospital Association (AHA), where he supports the executive office with strategic planning and operations and participates in cross-association projects that impact the AHA’s key strategic initiatives. Prior to this role, Richardson was a practice manager at USMD Health Systems in the Dallas/Fort Worth region, where he managed the daily operations of a primary care clinic with an annual operating budget of over two million dollars. He has also successfully hosted multiple educational and networking events for the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE) young professionals.

“I am honored to join the NCHL board and contribute to their important work in developing the next generation of healthcare leaders,” said Richardson. “My experience as an executive fellow at the AHA has given me a deeper understanding of healthcare policy and advocacy and has helped me gain insight into the past and future of healthcare. I look forward to leveraging this knowledge to help NCHL develop inclusive and effective healthcare leaders.”
